Accommodation at The Castle Inn

Lovely rooms in a historic welcoming inn, offering a bar and dining area with a great terrace and garden. 

Our four newly refurbished guest rooms feature king size and super king size beds; vintage and contemporary furniture; ensuite rain shower bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and velvet drapes. All rooms are equipped with a TV (freeview), tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, a desk and unlimited WI-FI. 

A cot can be provided, but please supply your own bedding, and a child under 16 is welcome and can be accommodated on a folding bed at an extra cost. Both options must be pre-requested, and availability will need to be confirmed. Two of our guestrooms welcome one small dog, with dog treats provided, but please supply your own dog bed, towel and bowl. 

All guest rooms are situated on the first floor of the attractive stone-built Grade 2 listed Castle Inn, an historic friendly inn serving delicious food, popular with families, and fronted by a lovely terrace and lawned garden. You are welcome to book lunch or dinner or pop down for a drink or nightcap. 

Off street parking is available outside the inn, but as it is limited you will please need to reserve your space with a bollard when you use your car during your stay. 

Beautiful Bradford on Avon, home to many independent shops, restaurants and tearooms, can be reached within ten minutes on foot downhill. It is also home to a medieval Tithe Barn set within Barton Farm, with both canal and riverside walks, where outbuildings have been converted into shops and artist workshops. 

The world-famous Georgian city of Bath, a UNESCO world heritage site, can be reached within half an hour by bus, which can be caught within a two-minute walk from your room, or approximately fifteen minutes by train from the centre of town. Walkers and cyclists can follow the canal towpath to the city. Bath is great for shopping with both independent and high street shops; has a huge array of places to eat and drink; houses the iconic Royal Crescent and the ancient Roman Baths, as well as the modern Thermae Bath Spa to bathe in natural hot spring water and hosts festivals, theatre and music events. 

Bradford on Avon is also well placed to visit top attractions such as Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park in under an hour by car, as well as Glastonbury Tor and the Cheddar Gorge and Caves. We are close to a wealth of pretty villages and national trust properties and gardens, including Lacock Abbey which was used in the filming of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School of  Witchcraft and Wizardry.
